The most frequent ones used are the 2°, 8° or 12° lenses, to increase or decrease the field of view; or the Remote cosine receptor to balance out light intensities coming from different angles. High Intensity Contact Probe

The ASD High Intensity Contact Probe is designed for contact measurements of solid raw materials such as minerals, grains, other granular materials. Its innovative optical design minimizes measurement errors associated with stray light and allows for measurement of samples through clear and transparent plastic bags. The halogen illuminator inside the contact probe guarantees constant and uniform illumination of your sample.

 

Plant Probe - for measurements on leaves

Acquiring spectra from fresh leaves is a challenge, due to this ASD invented the Plant Probe with the Leaf clip assembly. This accessory is fairly similar to the high intensity contact probe but contains a much weaker light source to avoid burning or drying the leaf. In addition the leaf clip assembly easies the positioning of thin leaves which do not cover the entire measurement surface.

 

High Intensity Muglight

The ASD High Intensity Muglight is designed for analysis of raw materials requiring reflectance and absorbance measurements. It can measure samples through glass vials, or using the ASD sampling tray adapter. Its unique and innovative design minimizes measurement errors associated with stray light and specular reflected components. A halogen light source is included.

 

ASD Pro Lamp

The ASD Pro Lamp is a 14.5 Volt 50 Watt halogen lamp that is tripod mountable and adapted especially for indoor lab diffuse reflectance measurements over the region 350 - 2500 nm. Also in field application where instable illumination conditions can not be avoided, the ProLamp will establish a fairly constant illumination level.

 

Turntable rotating sample holder

This accessory is used for inhomogeneous Soil, rock or mineral samples, where it is better to average over a larger surface. The rotating turntable is equipped with a petri dish to place the samples into and rotates at constant speed to do automated measurements.
