Labsphere & SphereOptics…. We merge forces….

SphereOptics GmbH is pleased to announce that Labsphere Inc. and SphereOptics LLC are now officially operating as one company in the US.

Together, we are uniquely positioned to provide the world’s photonics organizations with the most comprehensive set of solutions. The resulting product portfolio will include solutions for your optical radiation and light measurement systems. The combined company will operate under the name Labsphere and be headquartered in North Sutton, NH.

The SphereOptics GmbH, with its headquarters in Uhldingen, Germany, will continue being your partner in Lighting Technology on the European market. As the SphereOptics GmbH has its own production partner for diffuse optical materials here in Germany, we will continue offering all kinds of reflectance standards, targets and reflectance calibration services.

What does change for you as a customer?

- Not much.

If you have a SphereOptics System installed in your lab, the support will still be offered from Germany.

If you are interested in a light measurement system:

You even have a bigger product range to choose from!

·        A commitment to innovation, ensuring your next-generation technology solutions.

·        Greater support and resources available worldwide.

·        A financially strong partner with a long-term strategy for growth.

Our goal is to continue selling innovative, high-quality products and technology solutions to the Photonics and Remote Sensing markets. Diffuse Reflectance Standards and Targets. Zenith Reflectance materials are nearly ideal lambertian reflectors, available in several different grey scales and sizes. With NIST (National institute of Standards and Technology) and PTB (Physikalisch -Technische Bundesanstalt) traceable certification rules, SphereOptics GmbH provides excellent and reliable calibration data. The new Alucore Zenith Reflectance targets are perfectly usable in harsh environments or long time stability testing outside…. Find out more about this product....>>>

BRDF/BTDF Measurements of any passive surfaces. Accurate modeling of surface scatter is critical to the design of many types of imaging and illumination optical systems.  While ZEMAX supports the non-sequential ray tracing capabilities that are necessary to properly analyze scattering and stray light , the program has been limited to Lambertian, Gaussian and ABg (smooth optical surface scatter) scattering distributions, as well as user defined distributions that can be specified analytically.  The Radiant Imaging IS-SA is the first measurement system to provide complete, high-speed, measurement of surface scatter properties…. read the article on BRDF/BTDF..>>>.

The renaissance of Integrating Spheres.  Integrating Spheres usually made out of Zenith or Spectralon diffuse reflectance material are the ideal devices for the Light source characterization. Another application of these spheres is the built up principle as a Light standard/Luminance Standard. With a suitable constant current driven Light Source, the integrating sphere can be used as a  calibration device for Colorimeter and Photometer, CCD Chips or CMOS Chips or any kind of photopic detector. The Aerospace industry uses gigantic uniform light sources to simulate sun light…read case study..>>>
